The center of Typhoon Lan is located at 10.9 degrees north latitude, 135.0 degrees east longitude (1,960 kilometers southeast of Eluanbi), moving northwest at a speed of 9 km per hour. The central pressure of the typhoon is 995 hPa, with maximum sustained winds near the center at 20 meters per second, and maximum gusts reaching 28 meters per second. The radius of the seven-level wind zone is 120 kilometers.

Due to the strengthening northeast monsoon, areas north of Chiayi, Keelung’s northern coast, Taitung (including Orchid Island and Green Island), as well as the coastal and open areas of Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu, are prone to strong gusts of wind between levels 8 and 10, with particular attention needed for sudden strong winds on land. Over the next week, areas north of Hsinchu, Yilan, Hualien, and Taitung will all experience rainy weather. Those planning to travel to the aforementioned regions in the near future should pay extra attention to the weather.
