Sanrio’s star characters are here to shine at EVA Air’s Painted Plane Carnival, launching on the 15th!

Haven’t flown on EVA Air’s super-cute Sanrio-themed painted planes yet? Starting now, you can experience the joy of flying with adorable characters right in the streets of Xinyi District. Since 2005, EVA Air’s painted planes have soared through the skies, creating wonderful flight memories for over ten million passengers. EVA Air has announced that it will unveil four brand-new themed painted planes in the first half of this year. In addition to the already revealed “Outing Plane” and “Dream Plane,” the “Party Plane” and “Friendship Plane” will also take off soon, carrying even more beloved Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty, Cool Guy, and KiKi LaLa. These cute companions will brighten your flight and make the skies around the world even more delightful!

To celebrate the rollout of the four new painted planes, EVA Air will host the unprecedented “EVA Air Painted Plane Carnival” from April 14 (Friday) to April 16 (Sunday) at Xinyi District’s Xiangti Boulevard and Plaza. With the theme of “Welcome Aboard, Let’s Fly Happily Together,” the event features giant themed balloons, four painted plane experience zones, and an EVA Air cabin experience area. On April 15 (Saturday), popular Sanrio characters—Hello Kitty, Daniel, Cool Guy, KiKi LaLa, and My Melody—will make special appearances, joining EVA Air flight attendants for a magical themed parade and exciting performances.

To thank fans for their support, EVA Air will have its charming flight attendants join the Sanrio characters for a parade at 2:00 PM on April 15 (Saturday), offering fans a chance for close-up interactions. With energetic performances, the Xiangti Plaza will be filled with a dreamy atmosphere. EVA Air has also thoughtfully brought a luxury cabin experience to the streets of Xinyi, where visitors can try out the Royal Laurel Class, Elite Class, and Economy Class seats. Paired with adorable painted plane service items and friendly staff explanations, guests can enjoy the charm of EVA Air’s painted planes right on the ground.

At the event site, EVA Air has set up four painted plane experience zones, allowing visitors to explore different countries and experience global cultures and vibes right in Xinyi. After completing the experiences, attendees can take home limited-edition souvenirs. The event will also feature a massive five-meter-tall themed balloon for the first time. Captain Daniel, along with Hello Kitty, will playfully invite all visitors to take photos and check in at the EVA Air Painted Plane Carnival. There will also be chances to win discounted painted plane flight tickets in a lucky draw, taking off cutely with the most adorable Sanrio characters!

To show appreciation to long-time fans, EVA Air is also offering exclusive perks. From 5:00 PM on April 12 (Wednesday) to 12:00 PM on April 14 (Friday), participants who follow the rules and comment on posts under the “Million Fans Gathering” campaign on EVA Air’s official fan page can receive fast-track entry to the Painted Plane Carnival experience and EVA Air painted plane notepads. Additionally, limited-edition valuable gifts will be given out on-site. From April 11 (Tuesday) to April 24 (Monday), you can also join the online “Welcome Aboard, Let’s Fly Happily Together” event for a chance to win a 50% discount coupon for economy class flights to painted plane destinations, spending your flight time with the cutest Sanrio characters.
