Winter Flight Adjustments: Cathay Pacific to Suspend Direct Taipei-Fukuoka Flights from October

Cathay Pacific is adjusting its winter flight schedule. The daily direct Taipei–Fukuoka route will operate its last flight on October 28, and all services between Taipei and Fukuoka will be canceled starting October 29. In the future, Taiwanese passengers wishing to fly with Cathay Pacific will have their itineraries changed to fly from Taipei to Hong Kong, then transfer in Hong Kong to Fukuoka. Passengers who have already purchased tickets for flights after October 29 should pay attention to the adjusted flight schedules.

Cathay Pacific stated that its winter flight schedule will be adjusted. Starting October 29, flights CX510 and CX511 from Hong Kong to Fukuoka with a stopover in Taipei will be canceled. Passengers will instead fly from Taipei to Hong Kong and transfer there before taking Cathay Dragon Airlines flights KA380 and KA381 directly to Fukuoka. For passengers affected by these changes who wish to request a refund, Cathay Pacific will not charge any ticket cancellation fees.

The original Taipei–Fukuoka flight departed at 5:45 p.m. and arrived at 9:20 p.m., with the return flight departing Taipei at 10:20 a.m. and arriving at 12:00 p.m. After the change to flying via Hong Kong, the arrival time in Fukuoka will be 3:40 p.m., and the return flight will depart at 4:40 p.m. Additionally, Cathay Pacific noted that besides canceling the Taipei–Fukuoka route, this round of winter flight adjustments will also introduce new routes and timings, with further details to be announced later.
