The Only Philippe Starck Design – S Hotel Warms Up to Grand Opening with Booking & Dining Promotions

Invested by Wang Xiaofei, the only hotel in Taiwan designed by Philippe Starck — the affectionately named S Hotel — has begun its soft opening. Special room and dining promotions are now available from now until the end of May. Book your stay 30 days in advance to enjoy a 10% discount, or book 45 days in advance for an 15% discount.

Additionally, guests who check in on the day and dine at the hotel’s hyg Nordic cuisine restaurant will receive one Nordic dessert, or an additional 20% off all drinks at the hyg bar.

S Hotel is located on the tree-lined Dunhua North Road and was personally designed by globally renowned French designer Philippe Starck. Using the aesthetic language of Surprise and the refined perspective of Timelessness, it creates a visual space and comfortable environment for cultural and creative design. The lobby design combines wood and concrete to evoke a literary-chic, modern vibe, while artist Qu Jiarui incorporated elements of indigenous door colors into hand-painted ceilings and carpets.

HYG Nordic Cuisine Restaurant: Hygge is a Danish verb commonly used to describe the act of creating a warm atmosphere and sharing life’s beautiful moments through good people and good food. Located on the basement level of S Hotel, the top-tier Nordic restaurant HYG, under the creative vision of Philippe Starck, presents a multifaceted style that blends scholarly fashion, elegant cultural creativity, and natural opulence into a unified, novel space that defies visual expectations. Dining in this space offers a truly exceptional experience for the eyes, taste buds, nose, and ears.
