Thousands of "ice men" sit on the steps, slowly shifting over time as their bodies collapse, fall, and gradually melt away. This is an urban performance photography series created by artist Nele Azevedo for the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), aiming to draw more public attention to global warming through simple artistic expression.

The "urban action" known as "Minimum Monument," which has been held in places such as Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Berlin in Germany, and Florence in Italy, is a collective art project created by Brazilian artist Nele Azevedo. Thousands of ice figures are placed in public spaces, each melting and breaking apart at different times depending on the temperature, presenting a slow yet rapid, heart-wrenching beauty. Nele Azevedo hopes that through this artistic action, more people will engage with the issue of global warming in a simpler way, while also reflecting on the insignificance of human life in the face of nature.
