The Taipei 101 New Year’s Eve fireworks officially began at 00:00 on January 1st. This year’s grand show was themed “2018 Happiness Together – Happy Together.” In response to anti-air pollution efforts, the number of fireworks was reduced to 16,000, and they were paired with the debut “T-PAD” light screen show. The brilliant fireworks painted the Taipei night sky with beautiful scenes, as joyful crowds gathered to ring in 2018.
