All-star lineup alert！New Taipei City Christmas Concert: Cyndi Wang, S.H.E take turns performing

As the most exciting time of the year — Christmas — approaches, cities across Taiwan have been swept up in a wave of festive events. Among them, the festive-themed New Taipei City Happy Christmas City will hold its “Happy Christmas Concert” on December 22 and 23, featuring the most star-studded lineup to date: S.H.E, Rainie Yang, Cyndi Wang, Crowd Lu, Yoga Lin, and other artists. With dazzling lighting and stage effects, plus the “Christmas Street Parade Carnival,” it’s the perfect way to celebrate the holidays together.

The “2012 New Taipei City Happy Christmas City” boasts a superstar lineup that rivals the Golden Melody Awards. The star-studded list includes chart-topping girl group S.H.E, multi-talented performer Rainie Yang, Cyndi Wang, Pan Wei Bo, popular singers Aaron Yan, Amber An, as well as powerful vocalists Crowd Lu, Luan Tan A Xiang, Yoga Lin, Xu Jia Ying, Yen Chieh, Kwang Chin E, and Lin Chun Yi. Paired with last year’s wildly successful “Christmas Street Parade Carnival,” which returns this year starting at 3:30 p.m. on December 23, the parade will march along Zhongshan Road all the way to the New Taipei City Civic Plaza.
Among the highlights, New Taipei City’s beloved Firefighters’ Hunk Squad will return this year, marching alongside their well-trained police dogs. Other participants include the average age-70-plus Kanjiao Grandma Samba Dance Group, the youngest performers — the Hejia Ren Kindergarten Band, Taiwan Sun Theatre performing circus acts such as fire-eating, sword-swallowing, and human levitation, and up to 30 participating groups including the New Taipei City Mounted Police. People of all ages are gearing up for the parade to welcome Christmas.
