Li Guangguo, general manager of Shanghai Changyan Catering and "Ai Pizza Song," revealed in an interview that he has lived in Shanghai for over 20 years and previously worked as a trader, importing and selling German machinery and equipment. He observed that Shanghainese are especially fond of new things, constantly seeking novelty, which makes Shanghai a highly competitive hub for the F&B industry. That’s why he wanted to innovate on the traditional method of making authentic Italian pizza, becoming the first in China to launch a store specializing in “frozen pizza.”
Li Guangguo said that “Ai Pizza Song” will offer unique pizzas such as those topped with fresh strawberries, durian, mango, blueberries, and other seasonal fruits, as well as those featuring aromatic herbs. These will be the first of their kind in the city. In addition to these creative frozen pizzas, the Xintiandi branch will also serve classic Italian pies, wood-fired pizzas, Neapolitan-style pizzas, and seafood pizzas. He emphasized that the goal is to capture the essence of Italian pizza—regardless of whether the ingredients are “traditional” or “innovative”—with a focus on flavor.
