The most moving exhibition of the week is undoubtedly the “Moment of Eternity – Pulitzer Prize Photography Exhibition.” Unlike photography in other fields, photojournalism is full of tension, impact, reality, and unpredictability. In this exhibition, you can witness the moment the Twin Towers became fireballs during the 9/11 attacks, as well as the helpless bodies of children during the Haiti earthquake. Photojournalist Carlo Gabucci, who captured these tragic moments, said, “They lived among tents rampant with disease, but above their makeshift shelters floated pink balloons.”

[Moment of Eternity – 70 Years of Pulitzer Prize Photography]
Through these photographs, you can witness the full spectrum of life… Some fight for survival, some endure hardships out of helplessness, some suffer from the devastation brought by unstoppable natural disasters, and others are caught in complex conflicts. These events are fully presented thanks to photojournalists who carry their cameras into perilous scenes. Now, through the “Moment of Eternity – 70 Years of Pulitzer Prize Photography Exhibition,” you can feel as if you are right there.

The “Moment of Eternity – 70 Years of Pulitzer Prize Photography” exhibition brings together award-winning works from the Pulitzer Prize in Journalism (Photography) from its inception in 1942 to 2012, covering a complete 70 years. Since its first showing in New York in 2000, it has toured globally for over 10 years, attracting more than 3 million visitors. This is its first time in Taiwan. Visitors to this exhibition can not only learn the stories behind each work, but also experience the astonishing vision of each Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer, along with the unique photographic history they have created.

You can ride a hot air balloon in southern Taiwan too！ During the event period at Zouma Lai Farm, you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the nearby Zengwen River basin, the chalky landforms, and the beautiful natural scenery from above the hot air balloon！

[1914 Connection + Mr. Eyeball = A Studio That’s Always Traveling]

In September 2012, Mr. Eyeball transformed a restaurant in an alleyway in the eastern part of Taipei into an exhibition-style studio named “Mr. Eyeball’s Micro Exhibition in the Eastern Alleyways.” Lasting for one and a half months, the exhibition attracted many shoppers, fans who came from afar, international tourists… and, most importantly, interactions with local residents and shop owners. This made the works not just expressions of the creator’s emotions, but also connected them with the people, things, and environment around, adding warmth and vitality to the art.

In early spring 2013, Mr. Eyeball came to Huashan 1914 Creative Park, hoping to create a very relaxing and healing space in the already activity-packed Huashan. Here, you can take a break, view exhibitions, chat quietly, or even just daydream—it’s a great choice. Of course, during the exhibition period, a series of activities will be launched for you to join in, create together, and make memories. This is not just Mr. Eyeball’s exhibition or an artist’s studio, but also a secret base where many visitors come together to create wonderful memories！
