Shawarma with Special Sauce – North Hotel Introduces Middle Eastern Cuisine

Exquisite cakes and pastries, as well as a rich selection of Chinese and Western dishes, seem to have become the norm for afternoon tea at hotels in northern Taipei. Especially during the post-New Year lull in March and April, hotels are rolling out new dishes or events to attract customers.

To boost weekday afternoon tea sales, hotels are pulling out all the stops. Located in the Dunhua business district, The Dynasty Hotel, known for its distinctive and diverse offerings, has added Middle Eastern cuisine "shawarma" to its existing range of Chinese, Western, and Japanese dishes. Starting now, tall rotating spits display meat skewers stacked with special sauces and fresh vegetables and fruits. Fruit and vegetable juices are used to keep the meat moist and reduce the risk of burning. The meat is then thinly sliced and served with a variety of sauces—such as sesame, yogurt, and spicy flavors—paired with pocket bread and Danish flatbreads, offering a unique flavor profile.

In addition to a wide range of cuisines and shawarma, the hotel also offers freshly squeezed juices to help diners cut through the richness while enjoying both health benefits and delicious flavors.

The "Delicious Afternoon Tea Time" event at The Dynasty Taipei is available from now until April 30, every Monday to Friday during the afternoon tea period (2:30 PM to 5:00 PM). There is also a special introductory price available for experiences before April 31.
