The World’s Best Job: Taiwanese Girl Xie Xinxuan Makes Top Three

The “World’s Best Job,” launched by Tourism Australia, announced its top three finalists this afternoon. Taiwanese girl Xie Xinxuan has secured a spot in the “South Australian Wildlife Caretaker” category, and she joyfully shared the exciting news on her fan page.

The “World’s Best Job” features six unique roles: Outback Adventurer, Wildlife Caretaker, Funster, National Parks Ranger, Lifestyle Photographer, and Taste Master. The winners will receive a six-month contract with a salary of 50,000 Australian dollars (approximately 1.5 million New Taiwan dollars), plus an additional 50,000 AUD for living expenses. Xie Xinxuan was selected for the “Wildlife Caretaker” position, and she excitedly posted on her Facebook fan page this afternoon: “Mom, I made it to the top three!” Today, the 18 shortlisted candidates will be invited by Tourism Australia to attend the final selection event in Australia, with the ultimate winner to be announced on June 21.

Previously shortlisted Taiwanese girl Chen Wen-zhen, although not among the top three this time, congratulated Xie Xinxuan on Facebook and told her fans: “These have been three beautiful weeks of my life. BaoBao, thank you to everyone who supported me. I will continue to travel and share more stories. Thank you all, and thank you, Taiwan.”
