"Food Capital" Tainan Launches Direct Flights to Hong Kong — China Airlines' July Charter Flight Inaugural Journey

Traveling from Taiwan to Hong Kong is about to get even more convenient for Taiwanese travelers. Starting July 18, Tainan and Hong Kong will launch round-trip charter flights, giving residents in southern Taiwan more options to shop and enjoy cuisine in Hong Kong. This also opens up a second international gateway for southern Taiwan.

The inaugural China Airlines scheduled charter flight is expected to take off on July 18, operating round-trips between Tainan and Hong Kong every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The Tainan departure is scheduled around 1:00 PM, with the return flight from Hong Kong departing in the morning. Many people have expressed excitement and anticipation upon hearing the news. The frequent Tainan–Hong Kong flights will not only allow Taiwanese travelers to easily plan three- or five-day trips to Hong Kong but also encourage more visitors from Hong Kong and Macau to explore Tainan and experience the beauty of Taiwan’s cultural heritage and historic sites.
