A classic Star Wars photo op: Tokyo Skytree transforms into a lightsaber

The classic Star Wars series returns to the big screen after a decade with the new movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Even before its release, the world has already been taken over by Star Wars — its merchandise is everywhere, even infiltrating gold and silverware. But nothing beatsJapanTokyoSkytree’s massive lightsaber.

From now until February 16, there will be an exhibition inside Skytree featuring a life-sized Stormtrooper for photos, as well as lightsabers you can hold for your own stylish shots. Don’t miss the exhibition on the 450-meter skywalk too. From December 17 to 20, there will also be a light show where Skytree mimics lightsabers by emitting red and green beams of light.
