【Cherry Blossom Sightings】You Can Already Enjoy the Blossoms and See the Skytree Now!

According to online predictions, the cherry blossom season in Tokyo this year is mostly around late March to early April. However, traveling during that time usually means relatively expensive airfare and hotel prices. If you've already bought your tickets or will be in Tokyo over the next week or two, the place introduced in this article might be just right for you!

Ueno Park: Cherry Blossoms and the Skytree

After exiting Asakusa Station, walk toward the Sumida River to reach Ueno Park. Located between Azuma Bridge and Sakura Bridge, this area has been a popular cherry blossom viewing spot since the Edo period, with over 1,000 cherry trees lining both banks. Best of all, you can also capture the Skytree in the same frame.

However, as it's not yet peak bloom season, finding cherry blossoms may require a bit more searching and walking a little further. A telephoto lens makes it easier to capture the blossoms — this time, we used a Nikon D810 with both a 24-70mm and an 80-400mm lens.
