Taiwan’s first-ever Jimmy Liao-themed square, jointly designed by Yilan County Government and Jimmy Liao’s creative team, opened to the public today (the 28th). Hundreds of Jimmy Liao fans arrived early in the morning hoping to get their hands on the limited 200-piece run of stickers featuring illustrations from his picture books. The Jimmy Liao-themed square is located at the transportation hub south of Yilan Railway Station. Even before the official opening, many fans had already visited to take photos. With the upcoming weekend (the 29th), the site is expected to attract large crowds.

Jimmy Liao Square brings three classic picture books — "Starry Starry Night," "The Underground," and "Turn Left, Turn Right" — to life. Life-sized figures of the boy and girl from "Turn Left, Turn Right" are placed walking away from each other, a scene sure to resonate deeply with fans of the book. Suitcases scattered among trees and buildings are inspired by "The Underground," symbolizing “little houses” and “home.” The flying bus from "Starry Starry Night" features windows framing beautiful views, and the deconstructed bus is mounted across two walls, with the front and back sections each embedded into one.
