Island getaways are booming！Revival Airlines reopens Taipei-Taoyuan to Palau route with direct flights to the non-toxic “Jellyfish Lake”

Summer is here, and island vacations are all the rage！According to summer booking statistics released by domestic airlines, flight bookings to Okinawa, Ishigaki Island, and domestic routes to Penghu all exceeded 95% in July, clearly showing that islands are the top vacation destination for Taiwanese travelers during the summer. To meet the travel demand, domestic airlines will not only increase flights between Taoyuan-Okinawa and Kaohsiung-Okinawa through additional services in July, but will also launch a new Taoyuan-Palau route starting July 6.

Palau is one of the most beloved island destinations for Taiwanese travelers. Popular attractions include Jellyfish Lake, Milkfish Lake, the Big Drop-off, and Rock Islands, with its crystal-clear azure waters perfect for snorkeling and deep-sea fishing. According to statistics from the Palau Tourism Bureau, Taiwanese visitors are one of the most important source markets for Palau tourism. In 2011, there were 37,632 Taiwanese tourists, and in 2012, 38,649—an average of nearly one-third of Palau’s annual international tourist arrivals, second only to Japan and ranking as the second-largest group of foreign visitors.

Revival Airline’s Taoyuan-Palau route will be operated using the A320 aircraft, which can accommodate 150 passengers, offering two round-trip flights per week (Wednesdays and Saturdays). Flights depart Taoyuan at 11:00 AM and arrive in Palau at 4:00 PM local time, then depart Palau at 5:00 PM and arrive in Taiwan at 8:00 PM, with an actual flight time of approximately four hours.

To celebrate the official launch and thank supporting travelers, Revival Airline has partnered with seven authorized travel agencies to launch group tour packages starting from NT$15,900 (excluding tax) for 4-day trips and NT$20,900 (excluding tax) for 5-day trips. In collaboration with well-known swimwear brand ROXY, the first 30 customers who successfully purchase Palau flight tickets on Revival Airline’s official website will receive a free ROXY swimsuit set, in addition to enjoying the special launch flight fares.
