Transformed from ruins: A modern Spanish-designed church

The typical image of a church is one with a long history and classical, ornate design. But how about holding your wedding in a church built within ruins — would that be an alternative choice?

Designed bySpanisharchitect Izaskun Chinchilla, the church “Fortuny” was showcased this yearin Madrid at the CASA DECOR decoration exhibition. Its design is full of vitality and exudes a soft, comfortable feel, receiving unanimous praise. However, what’s most surprising is that “Fortuny” was created by renovating an old building, bringing fascinating vitality to the ruins.

The ceiling features a unique lattice design paired with geometric patterns, creating a rich visual effect.

The colorful chairs may seem randomly arranged, but they achieve a perfect sense of harmony — you really have to admire the designer’s skill.
