Ride the waves, enjoy music, and win big prizes — the "Glamorous Kinmen Ocean Vibes" event is kicking off the fun!

To ride the summer travel wave,2013 Glamorous Kinmen Ocean Vibesevent, starting July 6 at the Houhu Coastal Recreation Area in Kinmen, will feature a month-long series of activities. The opening ceremony on the evening of July 6 at 7:30 PM will also host a PK competition among bands from both sides of the Taiwan Strait and Hong Kong, with "Homegirl Goddess" Amber An closing the show.

The county government’s Tourism Department stated that one of the highlights of the opening gala is Amber An’s performance, while the band PK competition incorporates elements of "liberated battlefield," specifically requiring each band to reinterpret Teresa Teng’s songs. The event will also feature singer Zhang Jinglun, known as the "Little Teresa Teng," performing her classic hit "The Starry Sky."

Aside from performances, the Tourism Department noted that the opening event will also offer lucky draw prizes, including round-trip tickets to Hokkaido and 50-inch LCD TVs. Members of the public can join the lucky draw simply by trying out the activity facilities or making a purchase. The Livestock Research Institute will also provide 300 free popsicles to help attendees beat the heat. Starting at 7 PM, checking in on Facebook (FB) will also earn participants a limited-edition "Glamorous Kinmen" selfie sticker.

In terms of amusement facilities,Houhu Coastal Park has specially prepared three large water playgrounds for children this year, along with a giant sand sculpture exhibition, a railway bunker maze, and mine windmills. The park is open from 10 AM to 6:30 PM on weekdays and extended until 9 PM on weekends; additionally, the service desk will offer free water guns, clam-digging toy sets, soccer tic-tac-toe, beach volleyball, and more for everyone to enjoy a fun-filled "summer."

I. Shuttle Bus Schedule and Routes
From Kincheng Station to Houhu Coastal Park:

Times: 15:00–22:30 (last bus departs from the event venue back to the station at 22:30)
II. Driving Directions
To Houhu Coastal Park: Depart from Kincheng Station → Boyu Road → Pangguo Road → South Loop Road → Houhu Coastal Park Recreation Area. Follow the signs along the way to reach the destination.
III. Bicycle Riding
To Houhu Coastal Park: Visitors may borrow public bicycles provided by Kinmen County Government at Kincheng Station for their trip.
