The “triangular courtyard” is truly unique—a closer look at Japan’s Kyushu minimalist white single-family homes

InJapan, there are always many uniquely designed and playfully shaped single-family homes, but housing areas near city centers are incredibly expensive and space is limited. It's not easy to grow plants and enjoy a bit of nature at home.

During the design process,the Japanesearchitectural team Keita Eto Atelier Architectural Design Office incorporated a large number of window openings so that residents can always feel the greenery from the small garden.

In addition, they deliberately reduced the living space inside the house, allocating one area as an outdoor mini-garden planted with trees. Paired with a “triangular” courtyard for natural lighting, it showcases a simple and rustic charm.

Traveling doesn’t always have to be about eating, drinking, playing, or sightseeing.
