Enjoy a 360-degree forest bath on Denmark’s Spiral Skywalk

In recent years, various types of skywalks have emerged, allowing people to appreciate the breathtaking beauty of nature up close and from unique perspectives. These grand man-made structures are also placing greater emphasis on design, and among the most eye-catching is Denmark’s 2018-launched spiral-looped skywalk.

Designed jointly by the local Danish travel organization Camp Adventure and the architecture studio EFFEKT, the walkway is conceptually named “TreeTop Experience.” Located within the forested area of the town of Haslev, about a one-hour drive from Copenhagen, the circularly designed walkway allows visitors to spiral upwards along a gentle slope, with the view constantly changing. Upon reaching the 45-meter-high observation deck at the crown, you can enjoy a 360-degree forest bath.

The walkway features a wide-top and wide-bottom with a narrow middle design, resembling an hourglass to enhance structural stability. It is constructed using weathering steel, which offers both anti-corrosion properties and structural support. The wooden surface of the walkway is sourced from the forest itself, further integrating it with the surrounding environment. Additionally, the walkway serves recreational, exploratory, and educational purposes. Along its 600-meter length, visitors will encounter highlights such as a birdhouse, a circular path, public rest areas, and intersecting viewing platforms that boost interest—making it especially suitable for family outings. It is also wheelchair and stroller accessible.
