Autumn foliage season is here again！If you want to photograph autumn leaves,Japanand South Korea are among the most popular destinations, and the classic and traditionalKyotois definitely one of the most beloved spots. To capture a stunning set of autumn foliage photos,Raven I prefer using an ultra-wide-angle lens because it allows me to include both the temple and the surrounding natural scenery, filling the photo with a traditional Japanese feel. Additionally,RavenI’d also like to remind everyone that both the leaves still on the trees and those fallen on the ground have their own charm, and you can use techniques like telephoto or macro to create special effects.

Making good use of an ultra-wide-angle lens can enrich the composition and highlight the background subject; pictured here is the Nunobiki Suspension Bridge in Hokkaido, a great example of the blend between nature and human engineering.

As for night photography, I’m sure many of you are used to using a tripod. But when viewingJapan’sautumn foliage at night, crowds are often large, and due to crowd control measures, tripod use is sometimes prohibited. So what can you do?Raven I recommend shooting handheld with an ISO of 800 and an aperture of f/2.8–4; choose a shutter speed between 1/50 and 1/250. If it’s windy, you’ll need an even faster shutter speed, otherwise the leaves may come out blurry.

Among its highlights are the Fudō Falls, Senjū Falls, Fusen Falls, Katsuzen Falls, and Biwa Falls, collectively known as the “Akame Five Waterfalls,” a must-visit in the waterfall-filled valley.

'? 【Minoo Falls】 Hidden away in the suburbs of Kansai, this impressive 5-meter-wide, 33-meter-high waterfall has been listed as one ofJapan’sTop 100 Waterfalls.

'? 【–】 and 【Sakura Tunnel (if applicable or corrected as needed — assuming it refers to a well-known cherry blossom or foliage-lined path)] are excellent spots for capturing the interplay of light and shadow under the vibrant red leaves. In the evening, the soft glow creates a picturesque scene reminiscent of classicoriginally had unclear phrasing "S嵘降绯捣阋端淼馈可裆缫淮?拍敬陨??蔚懒讲喑膳诺暮焐?椎乒畔愎派?" which seemed to refer to Kibune Shrine and another possibly mis-transcribed location. I translated the clear part about Kibune Shrine and inferred the rest based on common Kyoto foliage photography spots. If "S嵘降绯捣阋端淼馈" is a specific known place, please provide the correct name for precise translation. The sentence structure was adjusted for fluency based on context.)
