Disney Fantasy Reimagined on the Big Screen: A 70-Year Classic Feast Limited to 5 Shows in Taiwan

On the 70th anniversary of Disney’s classic Fantasia, a live concert featuring orchestral accompaniment has been launched. Authorized by Disney in 2012, the Asian premiere was held in Taipei and received an enthusiastic response from Taiwanese audiences with widespread acclaim. Therefore, this summer, it will return to Taiwan for a grand five-show tour, allowing audiences to immerse themselves in a vibrant feast of animation and music.

Seventy years ago, Walt Disney introduced the groundbreaking work Fantasia, merging cutting-edge animation with timeless classical music, bringing both into the world of the general public and breaking the stereotype of animation as mere entertainment. It elevated both to new artistic heights. Now, the Fantasia live concert revives and upgrades this enduringly moving experience: high-definition giant screens display the animations, synchronized with live performances by professional orchestras. The perfect fusion of modern technology and classic artistry offers anyone—whether they’ve seen Fantasia before or not—a chance to witness a double delight for the senses and the soul.

Whether you're 6 or 60, you can feel the timeless and simple sense of wonder. With strong support from TOYOTA’s authorized dealer Hotai Motor, Disney’s Fantasia concert returns to Taiwan for a nationwide tour, allowing audiences across the island to experience the colorful feast of classic animation and music. Shows will be held at 7:30 PM on July 25 and 26 at the National Concert Hall in Taipei; at 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM on July 27 at the Zhidetang in Kaohsiung; and at 2:30 PM on July 28 at the Tainan Cultural Center. Ticket prices range from NT$800, NT$1200, NT$1800, NT$2400, NT$3000, to NT$3600, and can be purchased via the ERA ticketing system, 7-11 ibon, FamilyMart FamiPort, and Hi-Life Life-ET.

The Fantasia concert does not use sound reinforcement systems but presents the full-scale symphony orchestra in its original acoustics along with the classic animations. The perfect fusion of great music and animation art invites you to “listen” to the ingenuity of Disney animations while also “watching” the power of the orchestra.
