Palace of Justice Transforms into a Romantic Projection Castle: Malaysia’s Light Festival Opens Free Exhibition on the 28th

Dazzling Christmas lights are the most romantic little joy of winter each year, and cities across the globe show their creativity to give visitors an unforgettable winter memory. In Putrajaya, Malaysia, the annual Light and Motion Putrajaya (LAMPU) festival—now in its fifth year—will shine brightly for four consecutive nights starting December 28. With a blend of projections, lights, sound effects, and music, it promises a romantic night for all.

Putrajaya, the administrative capital of Malaysia and home to the country’s central government, will host the Light and Motion Putrajaya festival at Dataran Putra. The Palace of Justice, formerly housing the Ministry of Justice and courts, will become a giant projection screen displaying vibrant images. A riot of colorful lights, synchronized with sound effects and music, will transport visitors into a sci-fi movie-like atmosphere.

This largest light show in Malaysia has evolved into an international festival event. This year, it will feature as many as 23 themed programs, including food truck markets and street performances—all free of charge.
