EVA Air Launches “One Trip, Two Cities” Campaign, Inviting European Travelers to Taipei and Shanghai

EVA Air and the Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration jointly launched the “One Trip, Two Cities” initiative in Paris, France on the 26th, inviting French citizens to travel to Taipei and Shanghai with EVA Air.

As early as 2010, the “One Trip, Two Cities” program was introduced in North America. Over the past three years, the number of passengers traveling via Taiwan to Shanghai with EVA Air has increased from 10,000 to 30,000. Now, EVA Air is bringing this initiative to Europe, collaborating with the Shanghai Tourism Bureau to boost cross-strait tourism.

Following the launch event held in London on the 24th, EVA Air and the Shanghai Tourism Bureau swiftly moved on to promote the initiative in Paris, France. Zhang Xushen, General Manager of EVA Air’s Paris Branch, stated that EVA Air joined the Star Alliance in June this year and will be able to offer passengers more and better travel options and services in the future. This new concept can not only attract more customers for the airline but also increase the international visibility of both cities as tourist destinations.

Li Bincheng, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration, also noted that Shanghai is currently the fastest-developing and most modern city in mainland China. In the first eight months of this year, the number of European visitors to Shanghai has exceeded 700,000, up from last year. He hopes that through cooperation with EVA Air, more European travelers will take advantage of the opportunity to explore both Taiwan and Shanghai, creating a win-win situation.
