Grand Hyatt Taipei announced today (Oct. 1) that starting now, its first-floor Café Kaffe has added an afternoon tea session from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, featuring nearly 100 Chinese and Western delicacies presented across four distinct themed zones. Available every day, including weekdays and weekends, this special offer is priced at just NT$780 + 10% per person, attracting office workers in Taipei’s Xinyi District as well as those who miss lunch due to a busy schedule.
Chen Xiaoci, Executive Vice President of F&B at Grand Hyatt Taipei, said that afternoon tea has always been one of the key focus areas for five-star hotels competing in the F&B market. With the introduction of the afternoon tea session at Café Kaffe, guests can enjoy it as a full meal. In addition to offering great value to customers, the hotel aims to revive the unique charm of classic afternoon tea culture.
According to Grand Hyatt, the four themed zones of Café Kaffe’s afternoon tea include: the “Modern Bites Zone,” which offers a variety of appetizers paired with Italian and American-style bagels or specially made sandwiches. The selection is diverse, the portions light and refreshing, with creative options introduced weekly—don’t miss out on tasting these modern delights.
The “Hot Wok Zone” features regional specialties from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia, including Chinese stir-fries, Hong Kong-style steamed dim sum, refined soups and congee, Taiwanese snacks, and freshly made noodles. Dishes such as Bak Kut Teh and Singaporean Laksa are offered on a rotating basis. Two different BBQ selections—“Clove Honey Roast Ham” and “Char-Grilled Fresh Fish”—are available daily, along with nearly 30 other dishes, making the afternoon tea menu even more abundant and impressive.

The “Sea & Land Delights Zone” presents three types of fresh seafood—grass shrimp, crab, and shellfish—each day, alongside Japanese-inspired dishes such as three types of sashimi and four types of sushi, with the menu changing weekly to ensure a new and exciting selection each visit.
The “Luxury Dessert Bar” displays seven flavors of Mövenpick ice cream from Europe along with seasonal fresh fruits. It also features around 20 exquisitely crafted European desserts meticulously prepared by Canadian patissier James Holehouse. The selection changes monthly based on different themes and seasonal ingredients. Additionally, pastry chefs prepare hot desserts like French crêpes on-site, and health-conscious options like sesame paste or red bean and purple rice porridge are offered occasionally. The sweet, enticing aroma wafts through the pleasant afternoon tea ambiance, making it especially popular among ladies and young professionals.
Dining at Café Kaffe is available in timed sessions. Lunch and dinner from Monday to Thursday, as well as Friday lunch, cost NT$1,100 per person. Friday dinner and weekend lunch and dinner cost NT$1,300 per person. The afternoon tea session is priced at NT$780 per person every day, with a 10% service charge added to all prices above.
