Did “Pumpkin Heroes” suddenly appear on Taipei streets? At 1 PM on October 1st, a flashy million-dollar convertible suddenly appeared at the exit of Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station, catching everyone’s eye. But upon closer look, the car was actually covered in a family of pumpkin monsters, all grinning and waving their claws to greet passersby. With Halloween still a month away, these pumpkin creatures were already roaming the streets in broad daylight, drawing plenty of attention from pedestrians.

There was a sultry pumpkin housewife in a mini skirt, mischievous little pumpkin monsters, and some people even scrambled to grab balloons or take photos with the pumpkins, excitedly commenting, “Seeing this scene really gets me in the Halloween spirit.”

The Hong Kong Tourism Board is promoting the “Hong Kong Halloween Carnival Month,” which kicks off on October 1st, as well as the “Taipei Halloween Pumpkin Festival” from October 4th to 9th. At Huashan 1914 Creative Park, over 60 large and small pumpkins have been gathered to create a pumpkin field, with the festival becoming even more magical as night falls and hidden surprises waiting to be discovered. Xu Weini, Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board in Taiwan, said, “Hong Kong is the most Halloween-spirited place in all of Asia. The entire city will transform into a Halloween carnival, with shopping malls and retail centers all decked out in spooky decorations. Especially on October 31st, Halloween Day, the festive atmosphere will be absolutely electric!”
