Miami’s New Landmark: ICA Art Museum Offers Free Admission

Art lovers, don’t miss this out. Unlike Europe—where visitors generally pay for entry—nearly all museums in the U.S. charge admission fees. But now, Miami’s newest art museum is offering a great perk: free entry. Designed by a Madrid-based architecture studio, this building is set to become a new landmark in Miami, located in the city’s renowned Design District and spanning three floors in total.

According to Lonely Planet, this museum is actually part of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Inc. (ICA), a private organization whose mission is to introduce art to the general public by offering free admission. However, those wishing to visit must book online in advance to enjoy the latest contemporary art.

The first and second floors of the museum mainly feature temporary exhibitions, while the basement will host permanent exhibitions. Works by emerging artists will also be displayed here, many of them making their debut. However, visitors should note that there are no cafes or restaurants inside the museum.
