To help tourists in Tainan better understand the city’s bus services and transfer systems, the government has launched a themed promotional brochure for the main bus lines. The brochure was created with site visits and compilations by celebrities such as Liu Ke-xiang, introducing the local specialties and attractions of various parts of Tainan. Through the written content, readers can learn about the unique features of each main line.

2013 was the inaugural year of public transport in Tainan. Six differently colored bus lines — green, blue, brown, orange, yellow, and red — were successively launched starting in March of that year. The government further introduced a themed bus route brochure, inviting celebrities such as writer Liu Ke-xiang and Wang Hao-yi to serve as guides, showcasing lesser-known spots accessible by bus. These brochures can be picked up at major bus terminals and train stations across Tainan.

Each route is led by a celebrity guide. For example, the Green Main Line is introduced by ecologist writer Liu Ke-xiang, highlighting a fruit-growing journey through Xinhua, Zuozhen, and Yujing. Urban writer Wang Hao-yi introduces the Blue Main Line, covering areas such as Xigang, Jiangjun, and Beimen. The brochure features illustrated maps marking featured attractions along the main and branch bus lines, along with brief introductions to the sites and transfer information. With this brochure in hand, travelers can explore all of Greater Tainan.
