Sneak Peek: Asia’s Largest “3D Aerial Dragon Mural” to Appear in Kaohsiung on June 7

Kaohsiung has a new attraction to offer — the so-called largest 3D aerial mural in Asia, covering an area of 1,200 ping, will make its debut at the Schumann Silk Culture Park on June 7. The highlight is a three-story-high dragon that appears to leap off the wall and surprise visitors. There's also a painted swimming pool on the ground — standing in the middle for a photo feels like you might get splashed. All the vibrant murals are masterpieces by Taiwan’s 3D art expert, Tu Long.

Take the light rail to Zhongzheng Star Station, walk along Chenggong 2nd Road, and you’ll be able to see the 3D murals on the rooftop of the Kaohsiung Taiwan Sugar Logistics Park. To enter the Schumann Silk Culture Park, follow the instruction cards to complete four challenges, and the final one leads you to the three-story-high 3D aerial mural. Once it opens on June 7, it’s sure to spark a wave of photo opportunities.

What’s special is that the 3D ground images contain white dots that guide you on the best angles for the most striking 3D effects, creating an immersive illusion. The massive murals are incredibly lifelike — aside from the giant dragon, there’s also a swimming pool, the Kaohsiung light rail, strawberry ice cream, cats, and more, all showcasing the artist’s extraordinary painting skills.
