Golden Rain Tree Flower Season at Hutoupi Scenic Area – Half-Price Entry for Visitors Wearing Yellow

Located in Tainan, the Hutoupi Scenic Area was once Taiwan’s first reservoir. Aside from its picturesque waters that make it a perfect spot for couples, the area’s water play zone and family-friendly water slides are a top summer choice for families. Every May and June, when the Golden Rain Trees bloom, the entire water area is enveloped in a sea of golden-yellow flowers, creating a romantic scene.

The “Golden Rain Tree” originates from regions such as India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. In Taiwan, its flowering season is around May to June. The drooping golden-yellow flower clusters are dazzling, like a golden rain shower. The authorities have specially organized the “Golden Yellow Carnival” event during the Golden Rain Tree Flower Season, allowing visitors to not only enjoy water activities but also benefit from discounted entry to admire the blossoms.

During the event period, visitors wearing yellow clothing can enjoy half-price entry. Additionally, street performers or those carrying sketching materials, musical instruments, and performing on-site can enjoy a special ticket price of NT$10. Furthermore, the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau has also launched a free registration activity for “Water Recreation Experience,” where the public can take advantage of good weather on June 4, and June 10 and 11 to try canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding at Hutoupi.
