Sendai-Themed Summer Meals Take Flight: Peach Aviation Launches Limited-Time Edamame & Beef Tongue In-Flight Meals

Peach Aviation will launch two new routes in September: Taipei–Sendai and Sendai–Sapporo. To commemorate Sendai becoming an important transit hub this autumn, Peach has introduced three authentic local dishes in its summer meal selection: "Beef Tongue Burger Patty," "Sendai-Style Mapo Fried Noodles," and "Sweet Edamame Bean Paste Buns." These meals will be available from Thursday, June 1, to Thursday, August 31.

The "Beef Tongue Burger Patty" is made using Sendai’s famous beef tongue. The juicy, tender beef tongue is formed into a patty and served with fresh vegetables and edamame, alongside steamed rice, priced at 1,000 yen. There’s also the "Mapo Fried Noodles," a beloved Sendai dish that originated in the 1970s at a Chinese restaurant in the city. It perfectly combines mapo tofu with stir-fried noodles, priced at 900 yen.

Additionally, there’s the "Sweet Edamame Bean Paste Bun" for 300 yen, featuring a sweet and creamy mashed edamame (young green soybean) filling made from Sendai’s prized edamame, paired with a soft bread roll. Its rich yet not overly sweet flavor makes it a must-try snack on Peach Aviation. Other delicious in-flight meals include PEACH DELI’s classic "TAKOMASA’s Takoyaki" for 750 yen and "Kyoboshi Osaka Okonomiyaki" from the long-established Kyoboshi for 800 yen, allowing you to enjoy both your journey and the most flavorful, authentic meals.
