Japan’s “transparent milk tea” has sparked buzz and become a must-buy souvenir for Taiwanese travelers visiting Japan recently. With the approach of Christmas at the end of the year, Japanese beverage companies are launching another special edition drink—this time turning Coca-Cola “white”! Not only does the packaging have a festive vibe, but the originally black cola has also been transformed into a snow-white color scheme, adding even more Christmas spirit to the season.
To celebrate various year-end holidays, Japanese beverage makers are at it again. Japanese PepsiCo announced that it will launch a Christmas limited-edition cola on November 21st, drawing inspiration from the strawberry cream cake that Japanese people typically enjoy during Christmas. The black cola has been turned into an eye-catching snowy white color. It’s reported that this cola flavor is sweet with a hint of sourness and features a strawberry aroma.
In addition to this year’s white Christmas limited-edition cola, Japanese producers have previously launched many special-flavor colas, such as pink cherry blossom cola, bright red watermelon cola, blue Hawaiian cola, green perilla cola, and brown chestnut cola—all challenging consumers’ visual and taste senses.
