The Taichung International Travel Fair kicked off today (the 9th), with various travel agencies and hotel operators offering a wide range of attractive deals, especially popular short-haul trips to Hong Kong and Macau during the summer vacation season. To welcome the peak summer family travel period, the Hong Kong Pavilion is featuring a variety of family-friendly travel packages, including an exclusive deal for a family of four with flights from Hong Kong starting at just NT$17,998. The Macau Tourism Board has also curated diverse travel options tailored for the public, with free-and-easy itineraries starting as low as NT$5,388 for three days, and a "buy two, get one free" promotion.

To tap into the summer travel market, the Hong Kong Tourism Board has partnered with travel agencies to launch family travel deals. Lion Travel has introduced a special package: a 2-night, 3-day trip including flights and accommodation for NT$5,888 per person (before tax). For every two adults, one child can travel for free. For a family of four, both Lion Travel and JiDi Travel are offering an “8999 Buy 2 Adults, Get 2 Kids Free” package—also a 2-night, 3-day trip including 4 people sharing one room, two adult tickets, and two child tickets. A family of four can enjoy Hong Kong for just NT$17,998 (before tax).

The Macau Tourism Board has collaborated with three travel agencies to create a variety of tailor-made Macau free-and-easy packages for consumers. These not only allow stays in luxurious five-star hotels but also include a wealth of complimentary food, drink, and entertainment experiences. JiDi Travel offers the “Five-Star Galaxy The Peninsula Royal Feast Century Luxury Myth Show Holiday,” which includes VIP check-in perks and drinks on the executive floor, plus complimentary The Peninsula buffet breakfast and classic afternoon tea, starting at NT$8,999 per person. Canxing Travel has a “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” 3-day free-and-easy package tailored for families, starting at NT$5,388 per person. Libao Travel features a 4-day, 3-night trip departing on EVA Air and staying at Studio City Macau, starting at NT$11,999.
