The Green Light Project, a new creation by FANTASTIC, is a must-visit if you love the vibe around Qianmei Greenway. I came here for the “Washi Tape Market,” and seeing so many young people, especially girls, gathered together made me realize there’s another way to live life—one that brings everyone together like this.

Before the Washi Tape Market started, I thought it would be tucked away somewhere inside. But looking at the location of each shop at the entrance, I realized it was actually on the far left side of the entire Green Light Project area—you could easily miss it.

This small entrance is located in the very back of the Green Light Project. Inside is “Isabella’s.” Isn’t it hidden so well that it feels almost impossible to find? Once inside, you immediately notice the large tree stretching through the house. I love this—its coexistence with nature without destruction. This kind of Green Light Project is truly captivating. ^_____^ /

As you approach the entrance, you can’t help but be charmed—it feels like a lane in a French countryside village. This place draws locals in without needing word-of-mouth hype. Before even stepping inside, the entrance is simple: a bicycle and tree roots crawling over the facade, exuding a carefree vibe that tells you to live life with ease.

Once inside, you’re greeted by sunlight pouring in generously from outside, naturally illuminating every flower, brick, table, and chair. As you walk past them, you’ll just want to pause and admire the little treasures around—each spot feels like a story, and no corner is overlooked.

Dried flowers hang in bunches from the ceiling, and on the table by the door, there are little stories from all over. You can take your time to appreciate them. The colors here are vibrant but never overwhelming, much like a quaint French countryside where every hue feels naturally beautiful, blending into one picturesque scene after another.

And we don’t need to think too much—we can just enjoy the romance of this space for an afternoon.

The staff behind the bar are clearly young, each wearing plaid shirts, radiating a youthful and energetic vibe. Their thoughtful and friendly personalities shine through in their way of speaking.

The seating inside is just right—there’s a long table that can seat about ten people, along with a few two- and four-person tables. The tables are spaced apart, and the charming checkered chair covers are all unique.

They serve simple dishes, with daily set menus that change. On this day, there were options like pork belly with scallions and garlic, chicken dishes (I forgot the full name), pasta, and more. A la carte items are 180 NTD each, and set meals are 280 NTD. Since utensils and cups are self-serve, there’s no service charge. The utensils and cups are stored in a large cabinet, and the simple act of pulling open a drawer instantly feels as homely as being at home.

The floor-to-ceiling windows let in boundless sunlight, allowing you to enjoy the sun, the grass, and the beauty both inside and outside the house. Whether you’re here with friends or alone, it feels like a wonderful little world.

Every flower and item in this house is something I truly love. Even just looking at a few of them feels like appreciating a tiny piece of art—richness is found in a single wall, a room, or in someone who understands them.

My friend and I only ordered one set meal—it’s our habit to try a little first without paying for an extra set. We just wanted a simple taste. The salad was delicious, with a vinaigrette dressing that was refreshing and appetizing.

When the food arrived, I was immediately drawn to the fragrant pork belly. The aroma of scallions and garlic paired perfectly with the pork’s color—it was so inviting. Did you ever imagine eating Taiwanese cuisine in a place like this? Surprisingly, it worked really well without any clash.

The pork belly had an irresistible aroma, and it tasted even better. Paired with simple sides, maybe the 180 NTD price might seem a bit steep, but I personally felt it was worth it—for the space, the atmosphere, and the food itself.

Then there was a simple plate of pasta, but you could see the care put into it. It was a classic tomato meat sauce pasta, nothing extraordinary, but the quality of the meat and cheese showed the effort. The rich flavor wasn’t overly salty at all.

The lean meat was clearly visible, and the strips of cheese were smooth and easy to eat. The black tea had a coffee-tea aroma, and it was perfect for sharing between two people.

In this space, with sunlight streaming freely, you might also catch the laughter of friends nearby—their endless chatter filling the air. The long table was filled with camaraderie, a joy beyond just the food. I think those who understand will know what I mean. We’re all just looking for ways to enjoy life in our own way.

This “Green Light Project” is simply enchanting—whether you’re looking out from inside or admiring it from the outside. Find a little shop you like, have a coffee or a meal, and your whole holiday will feel fulfilled. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again. I’m already looking forward to other events besides the Washi Tape Market—and hoping the market returns year after year.
