Osaka now has free WiFi too！ Report on 46 hotspots including stations and tourist attractions

Travelers to Osaka can now enjoy free WiFi！ The Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau has integrated major tourist spots across the city, along with numerous restaurants, buildings, and stations, and began setting up “Osaka Free WiFi” hotspots at the end of January. In the future, visitors to Osaka can simply enable the WiFi function on their mobile phones, tablets, or laptops at designated locations, search for the specified WiFi name, and access the internet for free.

Osaka’s free WiFi is divided into two types: “Osaka Free WiFi” and “Osaka Free Wi-Fi Lite,” and their usage rules differ. First-time users who connect to a designated hotspot need to enter their email address in the “User Entry” section to confirm the terms and conditions before they can start using the service.

“Osaka Free WiFi” has no limit on the number of uses, but each session is limited to 30 minutes, after which the connection will be disconnected. Simply reconnect to continue using the service； “Osaka Free Wi-Fi Lite” has a shorter time limit, with each session restricted to 15 minutes, and each email account can be used up to 4 times per day.

Currently, the stations that offer hotspots include Osaka Namba Station, Kintetsu Nippombashi Station, Nakanoshima Station, Tenma Bridge Station, Kyobashi Station, and a total of 28 stations； tourist attractions include the Umeda Sky Building Observatory, Shitennoji Temple, Tamba-no-Yu Onsen Ryokan, the 2nd floor of Tsutenkaku, the Osaka Station Tourist Information Center, and 11 other locations, plus 7 other commercial facilities, hotels, and shops, making a total of 46 places providing free WiFi.
