UN Report: Taiwan Ranks 10th in Fastest-Growing Global Tourism in 2013

British media, citing a report from the United Nations World Tourism Organization, reported that in 2013, Taiwan ranked as the 10th fastest-growing tourist destination globally with an annual growth rate of 9.7%, while Japan topped the list with a 24% growth rate.

According to a report by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the top 10 fastest-growing tourist destinations globally last year were, in order: Japan, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Greece, the Philippines, Vietnam, Turkey, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, and Taiwan.

The *Daily Telegraph* reported on Taiwan’s tourism highlights, including the National Palace Museum in Taipei, the clouded mountains and bamboo forests of Yangmingshan National Park, Asia’s best cuisine, and exquisite Buddhist and Taoist temples.
