TRA Cruise Train: Spring Trip to Alishan Forest Railway & Fenchihu

Alishan’s cherry blossoms are expected to be in full bloom in March. To coincide with the blooming season, the TRA Cruise Train has launched a spring trip to Alishan departing from northern Taiwan. This year, the itinerary includes the famous Alishan Forest Railway for the first time. In addition to enjoying the cherry blossoms along the way, travelers will also visit “Taiwan’s highest old street”—Fenchihu Old Street—and Alishan National Park.

The 2-day-1-night cruise train itinerary “Treasures of Chiayi: The Charm of Alishan Railway” departs on March 30, with ticket sales starting February 27. In addition to the Miaoli Railway Museum, this year’s itinerary adds new stops such as Douliu Station, Xingang Fengtian Temple, Ban Tao Yao Jiaozi Cut-and-Paste Craft Park, Alishan Forest Railway, Alishan Fenchihu Station, and Alishan National Forest Recreation Area.

TRA stated that the package includes transportation, meals, accommodation, attraction visits, guided tours, and more.
