The floating castle "SuperStar Virgo" docks weekly at Kaohsiung Port in June

Star Cruises' largest ship in its Asian fleet, the "SuperStar Virgo," has added a new Kaohsiung route this year with Hong Kong as its home port. It is expected to visit Kaohsiung 28 times this year, and from June to August, the public can admire the magnificent cruise ship every week at the Banana Pier in Kaohsiung Port.

The "SuperStar Virgo" is 268 meters long, 32 meters wide, and 13 decks high, resembling a massive moving castle at sea, with a maximum capacity of nearly 2,000 passengers. Its hull features a mural of the "Sea Goddess of Abundance," symbolizing a joyful and bountiful journey for all who sail on her.

Lai Rui-long, Director of Kaohsiung City's Ocean Affairs Bureau, stated that to meet the growing demand for cruise tourism among Asian travelers, Star Cruises has specially launched the "SuperStar Virgo" Hong Kong-Taiwan Route (7 days and 6 nights: Kaohsiung–Taichung–Keelung–Hong Kong). The cruise offers passengers a full range of services including entertainment, dining, shopping, sports, and medical care. Additionally, daytime shore excursions and nighttime port changes eliminate the hassle of hauling heavy luggage across long distances, making cruise travel an increasingly popular choice. Its diversity and convenience are also gaining favor among younger demographics.

In June, the "SuperStar Virgo" will dock at Berth 3 of Kaohsiung Port from 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM on June 5, 12, 19, and 26 (on the 30th, docking hours are 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM). Interested individuals are welcome to visit Banana Pier for a close-up view.
