In June and October this year, the National Palace Museum has been invited to participate in the "National Treasures" exhibition at the Tokyo National Museum and Kyushu National Museum in Japan. Over 200 carefully selected collections, including the museum’s most treasured pieces—the "Jadeite Cabbage" and the "Meat-shaped Stone"—will represent Taiwan in Japan. Meanwhile, the Palace Museum Cafe within the museum complex will collaborate with The Capitol Hotel Tokyu in Tokyo from June 24 to 28. The collaboration will take place at the Hoshigaoka Restaurant on the second floor of the hotel, where an "National Treasures Banquet" will be served, featuring artistic recreations of national treasure artifacts such as the Jadeite Cabbage, the Meat-shaped Stone, and the Bianwen Tripod. Yang Huei-man, Executive Director of the Palace Museum Cafe, said: "Since its opening in 2008, the Palace Museum Cafe has successfully complemented the exhibitions of the National Palace Museum, allowing visitors to savor cultural relics through taste and explore history and culture through their palates." In addition to promoting the 'National Treasures Banquet' during this food event in Japan, the Palace Museum Cafe will also showcase the immensely popular Taiwanese delicacy—Palace Museum Champion Beef Noodles—hoping to give more Japanese people the chance to experience Taiwan’s unique food culture firsthand.
