Developing cross-strait and international regional routes from Taichung | Mandarin Airlines increases direct cross-strait flights during summer vacation

Based in central Taiwan, Mandarin Airlines is actively developing cross-strait and international regional routes departing from Taichung to provide travelers with more time-saving and convenient flight services. Starting June 3, Mandarin Airlines will increase its Taichung-Zhengzhou direct flights to twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays; starting June 16, it will launch a new weekly Monday Taichung-Changsha direct flight.

Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, offers key attractions along its route including the Henan Museum, the Yellow River Scenic Area, Shaolin Temple, Longmen Grottoes, and the Millennium City Park. Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, is famous for sites such as the Mawangdui Han Tombs and Yuelu Academy, and can also be combined with trips to Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang Ancient Town. Starting June 3, Mandarin Airlines will increase its Taichung-Zhengzhou direct flights to twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays; starting June 16, it will launch a new weekly Monday Taichung-Changsha direct flight.

The song “Grandma’s Penghu Bay” has become widely popular on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, and many mainland tourists can sing it by heart. Coupled with the unique island charm of Penghu, which deeply attracts Nanjing tour groups, there is strong demand for direct flights to Makung. From June 19 to October 9, Mandarin Airlines will operate a weekly Thursday charter flight between Nanjing and Makung. The first Makung-Nanjing flight AE2753 departed Makung Airport at 13:00 and arrived in Nanjing at 15:10. On the return leg, flight AE2754, carrying 104 passengers, took off from Nanjing at 16:10 and landed smoothly at Makung Airport at 18:20. After enjoying the outlying island scenery in Penghu, the Nanjing-Makung tour group extended their trip to Taiwan proper by taking Mandarin Airlines’ domestic flights, completing a well-rounded six-night, seven-day Taiwan tour.

Currently, in addition to the newly launched Zhengzhou and Changsha routes in June, Mandarin Airlines’ regular cross-strait routes include Hangzhou, Ningbo, Meizhou, Wenzhou, Fuzhou, Shenyang, Yancheng, Nanjing, Xiamen, and Lijiang. Starting July 2, it will inaugurate a new regular Taoyuan–Changchun route, operating weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. With an increasing number of destinations, Mandarin Airlines aims to provide an even more comprehensive flight network service for travelers across the Strait. Starting July 3, new routes from Taoyuan to Wenzhou and from Kaohsiung to Lijiang will be launched, each operating twice weekly.
