Hot Air Balloon Festival Unveils “Lucky Pants” Design; Public: “Hilariously Funny!”

Summer is the perfect time for travel and also the best season for hot air balloons. The “Taiwan Hot Air Balloon Festival,” held at Luye Gaotai in Taitung, is in full swing.The festival recently kicked off with 18 colorful and creatively designed hot air balloons taking to the skies to welcome visitors, sparking a balloon-chasing craze.The event’s organizer, Taitung County Government, continues to roll out new balloon designs to attract travelers, including the “Lucky Pants” balloon, which will be on display from June 15 to 28. Its eye-catching design has drawn amused reactions from the public, who exclaimed, “It’s hilarious!”

The organizers of the Taiwan Hot Air Balloon Festival said the “Lucky Pants” balloon is from the UK and is about one year old. It was created by the owner of a financial company who is passionate about hot air balloons. When brainstorming balloon designs, they had a tough time coming up with ideas. Following a suggestion from the balloon company, they decided to use the company’s commonly given promotional item—lucky pants—as the design for the balloon. Not only is it unique, but it’s also fun. This is the first time the Lucky Pants balloon has been showcased in Taiwan.

The “Taiwan Hot Air Balloon Festival” runs from May 30 to August 10 at Luye Gaotai in Taitung, where various creatively designed hot air balloons will be displayed.
