A giant shark lurks beneath the waterfall waiting to hunt – 3D art by Figure Dragon debuts in Yizhong commercial district

Su Chia-hsien (pen name: Figure Dragon), the world’s first Chinese 3D spray painting artist, following the overwhelming response to his 3D artwork "Good Luck Taipei" exhibited in May at Taipei City Hall MRT Station, is now bringing his creativity to Taichung’s Yizhong Commercial District. Four large, fun pieces will be on free display in the area from today until July 20.

Su Chia-hsien’s works can be found all over Taiwan, whether at Kaohsiung’s Pier-2 Art Center, Taitung Art Museum, or Taipei’s Huashan 1914 Creative Park — his large canvases use techniques like color shifts and object distortion to create 3D illusions from 2D surfaces. By choosing the right angle, anyone can instantly become part of the scene, and with exaggerated poses and expressions, you can create your own unique KUSO (parody) masterpiece.

The Yizhong Commercial District announced that the “Yizhong Figure Dragon 3D Art Exhibition,” now open in the area, will feature four artworks each measuring 8.5 meters in both length and width. In addition to these large-scale 3D pieces, weekend music performances and creative markets will also take place, offering the public a new leisure destination for weekends.
