New Taipei City Government has urgently announced that the 2014 New Taipei City Gongliao Ocean Music Festival, due to damage to on-site facilities caused by Typhoon Neoguri, will begin one day later than planned — on July 10 (Thursday) instead of July 9. The performances originally scheduled for July 9 (Wednesday) have been moved to July 14 (Monday), while all shows from July 10 to July 13 will proceed as originally planned.

According to the Central Weather Bureau forecast, Typhoon Neoguri is gradually moving away from Taiwan toward Japan, and rainfall in northern Taiwan over the next few days is expected to ease, with temperatures becoming more comfortable. However, earlier strong winds and high waves brought by Typhoon Neoguri eroded the beach, and out of public safety concerns, on-site facilities such as stages need to be readjusted. As a result, the 2014 New Taipei City Gongliao International Ocean Music Festival, originally set for July 9, will now begin on July 10.

Taiwan Railways adjusted its service by adding extra trains and increasing stops to accommodate music festival traffic. Due to the postponement, the additional train services originally scheduled for July 9 have been canceled, but trains that were planned to make extra stops at Fulong Station will continue to do so as originally arranged.
