With Yehliu’s millennia-old rock formations as the stage, the North Coast Sea Music Festival kicks off on the 26th

The 2014 North Coast Sea Music Festival will host a series of musical events from July 26 at Shallow Bay and Yehliu Geopark. The Shallow Bay Night will feature a special grassland concert format, allowing the public to enjoy a diverse range of music while interacting closely and casually with performers. The Yehliu Night, set against the backdrop of millennia-old rock formations, will deliver a musical experience rich in natural charm, catering to the varied preferences of different music fans.

Starting from the last Saturday of July, four consecutive Saturday evenings will make up the Shallow Bay Night and Yehliu Night. The Shallow Bay Night is scheduled to take place at the Shallow Bay parking lot. On July 26 (Saturday) at 6:30 PM, the renowned “Sweet Breeze Jazz Band” and “Too Good to Be Muse Band” will perform jazz carried by the sea breeze. On August 2 (Saturday) at 6:30 PM, new stars from Formosa TV’s “Tomorrow’s Stars” – Tseng Chung-Wei, Tsai Chen-Hui – along with talent show PK king Sweetheart Xiaolei will take the stage.

The Shallow Bay seaside walkway was recently completed. The North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration has combined it with the Rock & Pop Night on August 9 (Saturday) to host a street carnival, kicking off the walkway in style. Starting at 5:30 PM is the street carnival event, and at 7:00 PM, music warrior Hong Hsin-Chih will deliver an emotional opening act, with the finale featuring indigenous prince and Golden Melody Award winner Suming, creating a passionate rock-filled summer night. The Yehliu Night will kick off at 7:00 PM on August 16 (Saturday) at Yehliu Geopark, with performances by the Hsinchu Symphony Wind Orchestra, Golden Melody male vocalist Yin Zheng-Yang, the angelic-voiced Zhao Yong-Hua, and soprano angel Fu Shang-Zhen, all coming together to showcase the charm of Yehliu.
