Is Godzilla rampaging through Tokyo again? A 7-meter-tall "miniature" version appears in Roppongi Plaza

The King of Monsters "Godzilla" is back, and this time it has literally emerged from beneath the heart of Tokyo's city center. To promote the upcoming Hollywood movie *Godzilla*, set to release in Japan, the film’s producers have created a 1:7 scale half-body model of Godzilla, which is now on display in the Shibafu Square at Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi until the end of August.

With its fierce gaze and gaping, toothy maw, the fearsome "Godzilla" swings its two front claws as if preparing to burst forth from underground and wreak havoc once more. This incredibly lifelike half-body Godzilla model stands approximately 6.6 meters tall and was created not only as part of the film’s promotional campaign but also as one of Tokyo Midtown’s special summer events. To let visitors experience the power of the monster king from the movie, an 18-meter-long 1:1 scale Godzilla footprint has been placed next to the model, leaving many visitors amazed.

The "Giant Godzilla and Its Footprint" will be on free public display in the Shibafu Square at Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi starting today. Visitors can not only get up close for a detailed look but also touch the model. With Tokyo Tower in the background and the surrounding high-rises of Roppongi forming an urban backdrop, guests can take memorable photos with the King of Monsters. From 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, there will also be a "Godzilla Light Show." Starting at 7:00 PM and then every 30 minutes until 9:00 PM, a special 3-minute performance will take place where, amid background music and dramatic lighting, Godzilla slowly emerges from the mist, ready to wreak havoc while humans aren’t looking.
