A stunning seaside dining spot at a small fishing harbor in Athens – every photo looks like a postcard

When visiting the breathtakingly beautiful Greece, be sure to find a sea-view restaurant with an exceptional vista to fully enjoy the experience. Just a 15–20 minute drive from central Athens, the Piraeus (Πειραιάς) area is home to Mikrolimano, a hidden gem worth exploring. There are many scenic restaurants built along the coast, where you can dine from 7 pm to 9 pm Greek time and catch the perfect sunset.

Mikrolimano Fishing Harbor is just a 15–20 minute drive from central Athens. You can take a taxi or ride the metro to the Piraeus station and then walk for about 20 minutes. With gorgeous seaside views, small boats moored along the shore, occasional sailboats on the water, and elegant Greek architecture in the background, the scenery helps you naturally slow down and feel as if you’ve become a local Greek for the day.
Step into Four Brothers Restaurant, order some fried seafood, Greek salad, bread, and the locally beloved Tzatziki dip (a Greek yogurt-based sauce), and enjoy authentic flavors paired with the fishing harbor view — a perfect choice for your first meal in Athens. In June, the sun doesn’t set in Greece until after 8 pm, and even though Mikrolimano isn’t as famous as other spots, the view is still moving, and every snapshot looks like a postcard.
