Locals in southern Taiwan are in luck — EVA Air will launch daily flights between Kaohsiung and Osaka starting February 5.

EVA Air today (December 3) announced that it will open the Kaohsiung–Osaka route beginning February 5, 2015, and bookings are now being accepted.

EVA Air said that the Kaohsiung–Osaka route is planned to operate one flight per day using an A321-200 aircraft, offering 8 business class seats and 176 economy class seats, totaling 184 seats. The schedule will consist of 4 early morning flights and 3 late evening flights per week. Flights are tentatively scheduled for Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, departing Kaohsiung at 7:05 and arriving in Osaka at 10:55, then departing Osaka at 12:00 and returning to Kaohsiung at 14:40. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, flights will depart Kaohsiung at 15:30, arrive in Osaka at 19:20, then depart Osaka at 20:20 and return to Kaohsiung at 23:00.

EVA Air also stated that to celebrate the launch of the new route, it will offer promotional fares including individual early bird tickets starting from NT$7,500, 2-night 3-day free-and-easy tours from NT$15,500, and 4-night 5-day group packages from NT$30,900. (All prices are exclusive of tax.)
