Does this look impressive? You might think: Huh... adding a chicken leg sounds like a lot of trouble, right? Wrong—totally wrong. You wouldn’t be satisfied with just tomato rice, would you? With just a little extra effort, pan-frying an easy chicken leg steak is actually super simple. After reading my guide, you’ll exclaim: “Wow, that’s it?” But visually, it looks super generous and amazing, and it tastes delicious, nutritious, and satisfying. You’ll definitely regret not trying it at least once.
Alright, enough chit-chat. Let’s see how to make this combo. While your tomato rice is cooking, use the free time to marinate the chicken leg.

One serving comes with one boneless chicken leg—you can find these at any supermarket. Evenly rub a small teaspoon of salt and a pinch of black pepper on the chicken leg, then refrigerate. (Before marinating, it’s recommended to wash the chicken leg first and pat it dry with kitchen paper before seasoning.)
※ If the marinade flavor isn’t strong enough, no worries—you can simply grind and sprinkle some salt and pepper on the chicken after frying to enhance the taste.

Once your tomato rice is done, start frying the chicken steak. Heat up a pan (note: no oil needed), place the chicken skin-side down, and fry over low heat.

Continue until the skin turns golden and crispy like this, then flip and fry for another 4–5 minutes to finish. If your chicken leg is larger, you can fry it for an additional 1–2 minutes.
※ Not adding oil while frying the chicken steak is because the chicken itself has enough fat, and this method also makes the skin extra crispy.
※ Frying the chicken steak over low heat throughout is a foolproof method.

Slice the chicken after taking it out of the pan, arrange it next to your tomato rice—and you’re done. A chicken leg with crispy skin, tender meat, and juicy drippings—isn’t it super tempting?

It’s that simple—I could cry it’s so easy. If you don’t know what to have for dinner, try making this simple meal. I’m sure you’ll love it.
