A "World's Best Job" with a Weekly Salary of 60,000 – Applications Now Open for the Marianas Tourism Ambassador

A free week-long trip abroad plus a 60,000 salary? In 2014, the Marianas Tourism Board launched the ultimate internship program, "Marianas Intern," featuring fun-filled work responsibilities and a weekly paycheck of 60,000, attracting nearly 400 enthusiastic applicants. This year, the organizers are back with the "Attack of the Marianas – Tourism Ambassador Selection," which officially kicks off today.

According to the Marianas Tourism Board, anyone aged 18 or above, in good health, and passionate about travel is eligible to apply for the Marianas Tourism Ambassador selection. In addition to covering all travel expenses, including round-trip airfare, accommodation, meals, and sponsoring all activities (with a total value exceeding 200,000), as well as providing an “internship course” at the headquarters—including water activities on Saipan’s Managaha Island, water park visits, Blue Hole diving, coastal golfing, even learning to fly small planes on Tinian Island, exploring WWII heritage sites, and more—the selected ambassador will also receive a 60,000 salary. It’s being called the “best job ever!” There’s also a chance to participate in domestic and international travel shows to promote the beauty of the Marianas to the world.

Additionally, among the islands of the Marianas, the Tourism Board particularly recommends Managaha Island, located near the Micronesia Beach in central Saipan, just a 15-minute boat ride from Saipan Island. During World War II, American forces spotted the island from the air and mistook it for a battleship—thus giving it its name. Lush and green, Managaha Island is a globally renowned spot for snorkeling. With its pristine white sandy beaches, colorful tropical fish and coral reefs are visible just beneath the surface. What’s unique is that the water here maintains a constant temperature of 28 degrees Celsius, like a “thermostatic hot shower,” making every snorkeling experience incredibly comfortable.
