Want to be a flight attendant? Now’s your chance — major airlines are hiring, with 400 positions available in the first half of the year

Attention all future flight attendants — China Airlines has opened its first round of online applications for cabin crew this year. Those who possess warmth, communication skills, stamina, adaptability, and strong foreign language proficiency can meet the basic requirements and have the opportunity to join the cabin crew team.

From February 27 to March 13, China Airlines’ recruitment drive typically attracts over 6,000 applicants each time. Both male and female candidates interested in applying can complete their registration online from February 27 to March 13. This time, aside from recruiting 300 Taiwanese cabin crew members, China Airlines will also hire 48 Thai and 48 Japanese cabin crew members respectively. The first half of the year is expected to bring nearly 400 new additions to the cabin crew workforce. Coupled with five cabin crew recruitments conducted both domestically and internationally in 2014, resulting in over 500 hires, China Airlines now has nearly 3,500 cabin crew members.

China Airlines' cabin crew recruitment criteria include a university degree or above, and a TOEIC score of 600 or equivalent English proficiency. The recruitment process consists of a preliminary and a final round. The preliminary round will take place on March 21 and 22, including a luggage rack height test, document review, and interviews. During the interview, candidates will be evaluated based on their warmth, attitude, and verbal expression. The final round includes an interview and a personality test, where assessors will score candidates on their conversational skills and quick thinking. Successful applicants will begin their pre-service training in late April in staggered groups, covering basic in-flight and ground subjects. They are expected to join the cabin crew team before the peak summer travel season.
